This is a 2-year, full time course recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Department of
Pre-University Education. The course has base foundation which provides basic knowledge of Science,
Commerce and Arts
PUC Science

Academic Program
We offer the two years Pre University course, which is the
foundation of specialization requiring students to choose either the University
education or Professional courses. This is a bridge course between ten years of
schooling and the Professional courses. Each combination offers four core
subjects apart from language studies.
Part 1

Language (Any one of the following)- Kannada,
Hindi
Part 2

PCMB - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology:
A combination for a science oriented career.
Most doctors and engineers begin with these subjects. Ones
interested in research are also advised to pick this combination. While this
offers a list of options, it is also extremely challenging. We also provide
NEET coaching.

PCMC - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer
Science:
One of the best options for students aspiring to become
engineers. This combination is for those who have ruled out medicine as an
option. This again is a challenging combination. We also provide coaching for
JEE mains and Advanced.
In all, a student studies 6 subjects ( both in 1st and 2nd PUC) comprising of English, three core subjects, one optional subject and one language. From the academic year 2012-13, the Pre University Board of Karnataka has revised the Physics/Chemistry/Math and Biology syllabus and upgraded it to CBSE level by introducing the concept based user-friendly NCERT textbook and workbook for the science students. This upgrade enables the Medical and Engineering aspirants of Pre University to compete at the unified National Level Entrance Exam(NEET). The Board has also revised the syllabus for commerce subjects by upgrading them to the NCERT Curriculum.

CEBA - Computer Science, Economics, Business
Studies, Accountancy:
Business oriented stream with Computer Science. This is also
a good option for students aspiring to become entrepreneurs.

HEBA* - History, Economics, Business Studies,
Accountancy:
Business oriented stream with history and economics. This is
also a good option for students aspiring to become entrepreneurs.

SEBA* - Statistics, Economics, Business Studies,
Accountancy:
Business oriented stream with Statistics and economics. This
is also a good option for students aspiring to become entrepreneurs.
The Board has also revised the syllabus for commerce
subjects by upgrading them to the NCERT Curriculum
Rules of Admission
- Application for admission must be made in the prescribed form available in the Office or Download from PU website.
- The duly filled up application form should be submitted to the office either in person or by post.
- Selected students must meet the members of the admission committee with the following documents.
- T. C. from the School / College last attended.
- S. S. L. C. / P. U. C. Marks card.
- Conduct Certificate.
- Migration and eligibility certificate in case of students from outside the State .
- Six passport sized Photographs.
- Parents/Guardians must accompany their wards at the time of admission. All admissions are subject to the approval by the Department of Pre University Education.
